What Goes In, and What Does Not
A reed diffuser sits in a room for months, which is exactly why what is in it matters more than it does in something you use and rinse off.
Ours are formulated to be low VOC, which means less of the solvent load that makes a cheap diffuser read as sharp rather than as scent. Both are Australian made, vegan and biodegradable, and neither is tested on animals.

Natural Reed Diffusers
Most reed diffusers are a fragrance oil in a solvent, sold on how hard they throw scent in the first week. Ours are built to sit in a room for three to four months and still read as something rather than as everything.
The scents are led by essential oils, the formula is low VOC, and the bottle is amber glass rather than printed plastic, so it is something you leave out rather than hide.
Reed Diffuser or Electric Diffuser?
These are two different things and it is worth knowing which you are after.
A reed diffuser needs no power, no water and no attention. The oil travels up the reeds and evaporates from the top, giving a steady background scent for three to four months. It suits hallways, entryways and bathrooms, and anywhere you pass through rather than sit in.
An electric or ultrasonic diffuser uses water and power to disperse essential oil as a fine mist. It gives you control over strength and lets you change scent whenever you like. If you already own one, what you need from us is the oil rather than the diffuser.

Wattle Grove is a family owned farm at Buckleboo in South Australia. We grow and distil our own eucalyptus oil on site, and everything we make is made in Australia in small batches.
Our diffusers are blended here in two woody scents led by essential oils, in amber glass with a refill available so the bottle stays in use rather than going in the bin.
Which Diffuser Is Right for You

Sándalo
For a living room or a bedroom. Sandalwood, cardamom, violet and cedarwood, and the warmer of the two.

Cedrè
For an entryway or a study. Earthy cedarwood and smoky patchouli over vetiver, drier and sharper.
How to Get Three to Four Months From a Diffuser
A reed diffuser needs almost nothing from you, but the little it does need makes a real difference.
Let the reeds soak overnight
Remove the protective cap, screw the black lid back on and put all five reeds in. Leave them overnight before you turn anything. The oil needs to travel the full length of the reed before it will scent a room properly.
Turn the reeds once a week
Use a paper towel to handle them. Turning more often gives a stronger scent and a shorter life, turning less gives the opposite. Once a week is the balance.
Use all five reeds
Fewer reeds means a weaker scent, not a longer life. If it is too strong for the room, move it rather than removing reeds.
Keep it off wood and fabric
The oil will mark both. Stand the bottle on a coaster or a tray, and clean up any spill straight away.
Refill rather than replace
A 200ml refill is available in recycled PET, so the amber bottle and the reeds stay in use. Fresh reeds with each refill will give you the best of it.

Three to four months, depending on the size of the room and how often you turn the reeds. Turning more often gives a stronger scent and a shorter life.

Once a week is the balance. Use a paper towel to handle them, and let them soak overnight when you first set the diffuser up.

Yes. All five gives the best diffusion. Using fewer weakens the scent rather than extending the life, so if it is too strong for the room, move the diffuser instead.

Usage
Remove the protective cap and screw the black lid back on. Place all your reeds in the vessel for optimal diffusion and let them soak overnight before turning. Fragrance will last 3 to 4 months. Rotate your reeds every week using a paper towel to handle the reeds. Avoid contact with wooden and fabric surfaces. Spills should be cleaned up immediately .

The Sándalo Reed Diffuser comes in a 200ml amber glass bottle with 5 x black reeds.
A 200ml refill is also available in a recycled PET plastic bottle.
